Sao Fransisco Orphanage

St. Mark’s has an outreach program to help the Sao Fransisco orphanage in Novo Cruzeiro, Minas Gerais, Brazil.  For the last 22 years, Maria Silva has provided a home to orphans, and today cares for approximately 70 children from newborns to age fourteen.  Located in a remote village, the orphanage has survived through daily donations from dairy farms, local restaurants and stores, but is still in need of clothes, shoes, toys and a great many other items.

Periodically, boxes of donated goods are packed and shipped to the orphanage.  As you can imagine, shipping to Brazil is extremely expensive - $140/box and up.  If you have experience with or connections in the shipping industry, or want to donate toward defraying the cost of shipping, we would appreciate hearing from you!  Please email info@stmarkssouthborough.org.
