The Bargain Box
“We have quite a following, and it never ceases to amaze me. There is something for everyone in all price ranges; from school and work clothes to formal attire and fun vintage items. Many customers come every week, to take advantage of the great selection and prices.” “It’s practically an institution around here, and it’s wonderful that so many respond to help our church and community.” The Bargain Box is a clothing resale shop that operates in the basement of St. Mark’s Parish Hall. For more than 60 years, the Bargain Box has supplied quality recycled clothing at low prices for women, men and children in our area. The Bargain Box is open in April and May for the Spring/Summer season, and in October and November for the Fall/Winter season. Hours are 10-5pm on Thursdays and 12-2pm on Sundays. Clothing is accepted for consignment or may be donated with proceeds to benefit St. Mark’s Church. Parishioner volunteers from St. Mark’s staff the Bargain Box to help sort, price, and sell the clothing items. At the end of the season, unsold clothing is sent to charities. For more information on schedules, accepted clothing items and policies for consignment and donations, see the Bargain Box Fall flier or email bargainbox@stmarkssouthborough.org.
