Altar Guild

“I feel like I’m contributing to an integral part of the worship service.”

The Altar Guild performs a major role in our ministry at St. Mark’s by preparing the church for worship and ensuring services flow smoothly.  Members take care of the many details of our worship, including setting up for various services, weddings and funerals, and also deliver altar flowers to shut-ins.  Individuals are assigned to one of five teams, and each team is responsible for Altar Guild duties for two months out of the year.  Volunteers from the Altar Guild perform these duties during the summer months when there is no set schedule.
